Who's behind ATS.rip?
In 2022, I sent more than 2,200 job applications, mainly through LinkedIn, but was invited to only two interviews.
At the time, I had never heard of Applicant Tracking Systems (opens in a new tab). My CV was designed to look polished, with graphics and visual elements that I later learned could make it difficult for recruitment software to read and interpret correctly. After months of applying with almost no response, I became so frustrated that I deleted my LinkedIn profile altogether. Only later did I learn how these systems work, and how something as simple as CV formatting can affect whether the information in a CV is interpreted correctly before a recruiter ever sees it.
That experience became the starting point for ATS.rip. ATS stands for Adapt to Success, while the .rip domain is a playful reference to putting ATS-unfriendly CV formatting to rest. The idea behind ATS.rip is simple: help other job seekers avoid the same frustration by making it easy to create an ATS-optimised CV in just a few clicks.
ATS.rip is developed and operated by AIKON Media, a digital design and technology company based in Denmark.

How does ATS.rip use AI and OpenAI?
ATS.rip uses OpenAI's API to process the CV/resume content required for optimisation. OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default. Privacy without the noise
ATS.rip does not use advertising trackers or behavioural analytics to follow you around the web. We do not use advertising pop-ups or build marketing email lists. If you provide your email address through Support (opens in a new tab), it is used only to respond to your enquiry, not to send you marketing emails.
Our approach is simple: collect only what is needed to provide the service you ask for.
Is my CV stored or tracked?
To keep your optimisation connected from one step to the next, ATS.rip uses PHP, the programming language that handles this part of the process behind the scenes on our server. In simple terms, the code that manages your temporary session runs on ATS.rip's server rather than being exposed in your browser. Information sent between your browser and ATS.rip is protected by an encrypted HTTPS connection.
The temporary session is used only to keep your optimisation working while you use the service. It is not used to build an advertising profile, track your activity across other websites or send you marketing.
